Summer Is Coming, Where Are My New Shoes?

Ever since I have decided to become a full-time writer, I realize the things that I have to sacrifice, until my books take off. The ability to go into the grocery store and purchase whatever I wanted, now I have to make a list of the necessities. That doesn't bother me except for the fact that me and food have had a great relationship over the years and I feel that I am neglecting something if I am not purchasing it. The fact that now I have to rush past an item that I can't afford right now, or just not go down that aisle at all. It truly is a sad thing. I knew going into this that I would have to make a lot of sacrifices.

The other problem that I have is that I used to have a great love affair with Amazon. I would purchase all of my shoes on this site. It was kind of an addiction, as I could tell when a pair of shoes that I wanted was about to go lower in price. Two, three pairs at a time. When my son graduated from college a few years ago, I found a pair of designer heels that were $600 that I was able to purchase for $100. Are you serious? My first pair of real designer shoes that the fashion conscience wear.  Yes, I do love a good pair of shoes.

Well, I just gave thought to the fact that summer is almost here and I am used to taking my time and looking for my new sandals for the season. Not this year, though. I didn't hyperventilate when I knew that I hadn't bought any new shoes yet, maybe a little heavy breathing and then I told myself that it won't always be like this. I have not been able to bring myself to going to Amazon, there may be a pair of sandals that may call my name and I won't be able to turn away, but I must.
